Photography Notes (4)–Monolight’s slave sensor

The Slave Sensor on monolight is optical, it will be triggered if the position of master strobe is proper or master strobe’s power is strong enough. Here is the testing I made today.

1. Canon 580 flash strobe connected with pocket wizard as a master strobe, it’s on subject right, 45 angle.

2. Monolight with softbox is position as 45 angles with subject on left.

3. use wireless mode of Flash meter to trigger the master strobe, no problem, but it’s hard to fire the monolight as same time.

Solution: Use another monolight connected with pocket wizard as master strobe.
